Following the MVA incident that occurred earlier today, we received an anonymous tip suggesting that the driver could be a member of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department. We didn't want to make any public statements as we wanted to confirm this information firsthand.

Tonight, figuring that a protest is the best place to find a law enforcement officer, I attended one. Not long after my arrival, I was able to spot Alejandro Valdez, a Sheriff's Deputy, and I instantly recognized him as the same individual who had used the racial slur when confronted by me and Theo earlier today.

When I confronted Valdez, he refused to provide his name or badge number, I asked him for his name and badge number for the second time and that's when he told me to stop recording, but I asserted my right to film. He quickly doubled down and ceased his attempts to stop me from recording. Despite his best efforts to not give me his badge number and his name, I was able to capture his nameplate and badge number with my camera, securing the evidence we needed to make an IA report.

I'd also like to thank our community for their crucial role in identifying this person. As mentioned, the recording will be sent to Internal Affairs for a full investigation. We'll keep you updated.
